The Phi Alpha Tau Seal

Founded in 1902, Phi Alpha Tau is the nation’s oldest professional communicative arts fraternity.  We  are based out of Emerson College in downtown Boston, and our brothers are among the brightest students within the School of the Arts and the School of Communications.

We award honorary recognition to Emerson faculty as well as nationally prominent figures. On campus we enjoy the brotherhood of many professors and administrators.

Tau is not a residential fraternity, though we view our bond of brotherhood as a lifelong commitment.  Our events tend to expand our professional pursuits, though our annual wine and cheese cocktail party and the Tau Carol Sing are always highlights of the year.  You will recognize us on campus by our formal attire, which we require for our business meetings.
